Day Fifty. - Project 365.

Day Fifty. - And So It Began... - While at work the previous day I started feeling cold, which never happens to me I'm usually always hot, and my throat was starting to hurt a bit. After I got home feeling as if I'd been ran over by a semi-truck I took my temperature and sure enough I had a fever. I was also in a immense amount of pain since my shoulder had been bothering me all day, I'm not good at dealing with pain or being sick. I tried to lay down and rest with my heating pad but the pain was too much and I just wanted to sleep. By this time it was only around 7:30 pm but I took some Ny quill and dozed off for the rest of the evening. You'd think I'd get sick while William was sick for two weeks, or while my co-workers were sick off and on, but no I have to get sick after everyone is better. Let's just hope mine only last a few days, otherwise I will be truly miserable.

Day Forty-Nine. - Project 365.

Day Forty-Nine. - A Hint Of Scent. - While we were visiting my Mom she gave me this "Flameless Candle", her and my Dad are pretty allergic to strong scents, with a light Vanilla fragrance. I must admit that it took about ten minutes for me to read the directions and put this Candle together but it does add a nice smell to the apartment that isn't too overwhelming, most of the time. I guess this is a good thing to have for clumsy people like myself who might start a fire with a real candle, though I've not had that happen to my personally, and you can switch the flame part on or off depending on your mood.

Wordless Wednesday.

Day Forty-Eight. - Project 365.

Day Forty-Eight. - Broccoli Tortellini Soup. - The first time I made this recipe it didn't come out like soup at all but the next few times, I added another can of chicken broth, have been much better. I actually think I've become obsessed with Tortellini and this recipe altogether. But on a cold, windy, day nothing warms you up like a hot bowl of soup. Plus it takes about 15 minutes to prepare so it can't get better then that.

Day Forty-Seven. - Project 365.

Day Forty-Seven. - Little Ol' Town. - For my Mom's birthday we drove down, two and a half hours, to visit them out in the country. After we got there we had to drive another 45 minutes to get to town to be able to be on time for our appointment at the "spa". I say, "spa", because it was actually a Cosmetology School but were treating ourselves to facials, pedicures and manicures so it was like a Spa Day. The school was actually right in the middle of Down Town across from this beautiful building, one of the great things about small towns, that was built with stone, as opposed to our wooden buildings these days, to keep them from catching on fire. Anyway, the weather was beautiful, except for it being extremely windy, and I just had to snap a photo before we left back home.

Day Forty-Six. - Project 365.

Day Forty-Six. - Be In My Band! - Don't think for a second that William didn't spoil himself, as well as me, because this is what I came home to. Rock Band. At first I thought it was nerdy and stupid but we actually played a song together, I sang, and it was pretty fun but I'll never truly admit that to anyone. I did feel like a huge nerd but we laughed at each others mistakes and had a really good time together. I won't become a fanatic about this game though but it's a fun thing to consume your time for a little while.

Day Forty-Five. - Project 365.

Day Forty-Five. - These Boots Are Made For Walkin'. - For quite some time now I've been whining and begging for William to buy me new, knee high, boots since mine are basically falling apart. I suppose he got tired of hearing about them and finally decided to get me a pair. While were walking around the shoe store trying to find the perfect pair I was getting a wee bit disappointed because I couldn't find any I really liked or that fit me, since I wear the smallest size possible. But finally I found these boots and they fit like a glove on my foot, and they were on sale, so I had to have them. They really are comfortable and have a small heel since I'm not coordinated enough to wear 6' inch stilettos.

Day Forty-Four. - Project 365.

Day Forty-Four. - A Kid Again. - Every Saturday at work we decorate the store with balloons in coordinating colors depending our event, or special, for that weekend. The weekend before we did Red, White, and Blue balloons since it was our President Day Event and this week we did multi-colored balloons just for fun. Well, they ended up putting balloons on my side of the desk and I'll have to admit it made me pretty happy to have those helium filled, brightly colored, balloons to stare at all day. Something about them made me feel like a kid again that I had to bring them home just to keep the child-like feeling alive for a few more days.

Day Forty-Three. - Project 365.

Day Forty-Three. - Close To My Heart. - The picture tells all. No funny captions or long explanation. And this picture wasn't taken recently, it was taken last year, but it's my Project 365 and I can cheat if I want to.

Day Forty-Two. - Project 365.

Day Forty-Two. - Grocery Competitors. - Yes, that's right, Ladies and Gentlemen on this grocery day I had to shop at two different grocery stores. As if one wasn't bad enough I find out that they don't, or weren't at the time, carrying the chicken and steak that I needed to make the dinners I've set out for the week. Don't they realize that I had to drag myself out of the house, in 40 degree rainy weather, to even spend a hour in one grocery store? I was pretty impressed that I was able to go grocery shopping by myself and spend less then 150 dollars. I even bought a few things that weren't on my list, oh yes, I'm a such a rebel. If it wasn't for the second stop I would have managed to get grocery's for a week and a half for less then 100 dollars. Maybe next time I can hit my budget goal.

Day Forty-One. - Project 365.

Day Forty-One. - A Touch Of Spring. - Usually I'm not a big fan of skirts but while I was shopping I fell in love with this pink and brown knee length skirt. The pattern is lovely and it is very feminine, very "me". I feel sophisticated and mature in this brand new skirt. A nice change of pace from my normal black trousers and jeans.

Day Forty. - Project 365.

Project 365. - Bath Time! Last minute we decided to go get my car washed because it had been a few months since I've washed it and it was starting to look ridiculously dirty. Next time I won't be buying a white car, that's for sure. After we washed her down I wanted to vacuum the front seats and floorboards because it's never been done before and it was starting to look like I lived in my car. After she was sparkling and fresh clean we took her out on the freeway to drive off. Now I can only hope that I actually keep my car clean, but that's asking for a lot from me.

Day Thirty-Nine. - Project 365.

Day Thirty-Nine. - Retail Therapy. Originally I went shopping to purchase new black trousers for work since mine had broken that morning. Little did I know Khols was having a sale and everything was reduced down to a very low price. I only found a couple pair of trousers that I liked, and were in my size, and when I tried them on I completely hated them. So, I decided to look for a nice skirt or dress appropriate enough for work. After walking around the department store for about half an hour, and being in and out of the dressing room, I almost gave up. Since I couldn't find anything I really liked in the Junior's section, yes I still shop there, I decided to try the Misses section. Found the perfect skirt and shirt and knew I had to have it. After finding the perfect outfit I headed over to the handbags, because my purse was falling apart, and found this great bag for ten dollars. Next thing I know I'm at the register with a new outfit, new heels, a new purse, and new boxers for William. Good thing I saved about 15% or I would have spent entirely way too much money.

Day Thirty-Eight. - Project 365.

Day Thirty-Eight. -Nurturing 'Wife'. - Since the illness that has been going around for weeks now has catched up with William I've been taking care of him for the past three days as much as I can while I'm not working. Since all the Non-Brand Dayquill and Nyquill's were gone I had to run to the grocery store and get some new medication. Being the indecisive person that I am it took me a good ten minutes before deciding on what I thought was best. I ended up deciding on Tylenol's Night and Day Cold/Flu, which seems to work rather well since he has taken the Night pills and seems to be feeling better already.

Day Thirty-Seven. - Project 365.

Day Thirty-Seven. - Sweet Nothings. - The bottom of this is filled with little red candies and I figured it would be perfect to give to William, keeping with the theme of Valentine's Day this week, but little did I know that the candies tasted awful. I suppose it's the thought that counts and the fact that it brought a smile to his face and let me know that I was thinking of him.

Day Thirty.-Six. - Project 365.

Day Thirty-Six. - Work of Art. - Since we are trying to get rid of a lot of accessories at work, and putting them at a clearance price, I found this matching set of four that I couldn't pass up. Especially since they were only twenty dollars, originally thirty-five dollars a piece, and we will be needing pictures to hang in the new house. I've decided they would go great in our master bathroom and hall bathroom and then I could use the Beach theme as decorations. As for now they will sit against the wall with the other pictures that are waiting to be put up.

Day Thirty-Five. - Project 365.

Day Thirty-Five. - Baby Valentine. - I was surprised with this soft, cuddly, teddy bear on the morning of Valentine's Day. Since I have an obsession with naming things I named him 'Baby Valentine'. I also got a few other surprises like candies, champagne and strawberries, and a romantic steak dinner. And an amazing card that made me tear up and brought a huge smile to my face. I couldn't have asked for a better Valentine's Day and a better man to spend it with, year after year.

Day Thirty-Four. - Project 365.

Day Thirty-Four. - Planning for the Big Day. - Since I have been stuck on the couch, I blame being sick on that, for the better part of the day I decided it was a good time to finish reading my Wedding Planning for Dummies book. This book was suggested to me from on of my Wedding Planning Blogs and it's been a while since I've even taken a look at it. Although I'm pretty sure I've got most everything under control I could always use a few helpful hints, especially since I don't have a Wedding Planner to give me great tips and advice.

Day Thirty-Three. - Project 365.

Day Thirty-Three. - Talk Time. - Tonight I spent the majority of my time on my cell phone, whether it be texting or actually calling various people. My phone is attached to my hip and I'm always using it for some sort of communication. Good thing it's a pretty big phone otherwise I'd probably constantly lose it within my junk of a purse.

Day Thirty-Two. - Project 365.

Day Thirty-Two. - Little Piggies. - My poor, tired, feet. Winter weather is always harsh on them and they are in dire need of a pedicure. And I need new heels, badly, ones that won't kill my feet. Even though I'm not standing on my feet all day they end up hurting by the end of the day. I'm not sure how I feel about this picture, though, feet have never been a favorite body part of mine.

Day Thirty-One. - Project 365.

Day Thirty-One. - A Breath Of Fresh Air. - Since the weather was absolutely gorgeous, and I wanted to get out of the apartment, we decided to take a walk in the park. After we parked we found the path and started our way around it. We ended up walking through some residential areas and seeing a beautiful "wolf", as William called it, dog. We also saw kids playing in the, nasty, streams and couples playing Frisbee Golf. After spending a hour and a half walking around we decided it was time to go home. But, we plan to go back at least two times a week. I really think some fresh air did us both good.

Where Are The Text Posts?

Looks as if this Blog is more of a picture blog then anything else, huh? I don't even remember the last time I actually sat down and typed a entry that wasn't for Project 365.

We finally got everything will the house straightened out, it's a long story, and hopefully they will start putting up the frame pretty soon. When we went for our final showroom appointment we actually got to see our floor plans which got me pretty excited. I had to drop by today and pick-up some paperwork since the cost of the house was not correct. We should be getting a call from our Sales Person sometime this week and I'm sure when they start breaking ground we will have to drive out there every other day to see if anything has changed. One downfall I've noticed about moving to that area is the traffic and the roads are pretty torn up. And it's further from work so hopefully I'll be able to find another job closer to home. I probably won't be staying at this job much longer anyway, at least for another four or five months, because I will be needing something with more pay.

It has come to my attention that our wedding date is 8 months away and I really need to get on the ball. We have pretty much decided to have the wedding in a church and I'm, still, waiting on information back from the church I grew up in. We also have William's Uncle's church in mind but it's about a hour away. They are willing to let us use the church for free so that's always an incentive. I should be getting my dress soon and hopefully the invitations. We are planning on printing our own wedding invitations to save money. One of my BridesMaids picked out some dresses that she likes so hopefully I'll be able to figure out which ones I like so we can go ahead and purchase that. Apparently, it takes 3 or 4 months to ship the dresses. So it's coming together but not as quickly as I'd like. I'd love to hear any suggestions. : ]

Anyway, I suppose I should find something to hold my attention for the next hour until William gets off work and Mad TV really isn't cutting it.

Day Thirty. - Project 365.

Day Thirty. - Couch Potato. - Tonight was spent sitting my lazy butt on the couch all night, after I made dinner of course. I love the pattern and color of our couch but I hate the way it sits and the lack of back support. Needless to say we need a new couch pretty badly. I almost feel bad for sitting here all night when there is so much that needs to be done around here but I suppose that's what I'll do tomorrow on my day off work. A girl is entitled to one lazy night, right?

Day Twenty-Nine. - Project 365.

Day Twenty-Nine. - Full Of Emotion. - There is no witty remarks to explain why this picture was taken. Instead, I'm going to let you, the reader, come up with your own conclusion. Was I sad? Was I really crying? Or did I come out of the shower like this? Was I crying in the shower? Did I pretend to cry to make a good photo? Either way I love this raw emotion that I've captured. This vulnerable state that I only let one person see me in, as if my walls have been forced down and everyone can see me for what I truly am. A mess. Look closely at the eyes, though, they are the windows of our souls.

Day Twenty-Eight. - Project 365.

Day Twenty-Eight. - Let There Be Light. - Corny title, I know. Today we spent the majority of our day at the History Homemakers Showroom, which is filled with everything imaginable for the insides of your home, and finished picking out what we wanted for our home. The one thing we were unable to come to a decision on where dining room, bathroom and master bedroom lighting. A couple nights before we looked through our packet but the pictures, black and white, just weren't helping me get an idea of what the lights looked like. Of course, these will be the bathroom lights and I am very pleased with our choices.

Day Twenty-Seven. - Project 365.

Day Twenty-Seven. - Winter Sickness.- Throughout the entire year we have been fortunate enough to not get sick, which is rare for myself, but this past week William has been feeling under the weather and then yesterday he felt even worse. And of course you know that if one person gets sick then the entire house does so I am just waiting for my turn, hopefully I won't catch it though. So, I have been nursing him back to health in hopes that he will feel better by the end of this week.

Day Twenty-Six. - Project 365.

Day Twenty-Six. - Relaxation Starter Kit. - Say what you will about Burt's Bees but, I, personally love there products especially their Peppermint Oil foot creme. After walking all day in heels I decided to give my, poor tired, feet a little soothing. The thing I love most about this Creme is the tingling sensation the tops of my feet get from the, real, Peppermint Oil! If you haven't tried it then you should I recommend it to everyone. Oh, yeah, and this is my attempt at being creative.

And The Results Are In.

The test came out negative. And I'd be lying if I said I wasn't dissapointed.

Day Twenty-Five. - Project 365.

Day Twenty-Five. - Instead of The Real Thing. - For a while now I've been whining and complaining about how much I want a dog and won't be able to have one until we have our house. So for Christmas, my Mother-In-Law, bought a Calendar with the specific type of dog that I want until I can get a real one. Which seeing this every morning makes me want a dog even worse. And I'm not to happy with the flash reflecting off the calendar but I don't feel like messing with it so it's poor quality.

Day Twenty-Four. - Project 365.

Day Twenty-Four. - Rabbit Ears. -The morning of the Super bowl it was decided that we needed a HD Antenna. And I decided that it if it was under $15.00 dollars we would shell out the cash and purchase one. Well, guess what? It was. Which of course made William extremely excited and we had to rush home so that he could get everything set up for the game later that day. Although I will admit that the picture quality was truly amazing I still think they look pretty funny sitting next to our, expensive, big screen television.

Day Twenty-Three. - Project 365.

Day Twenty-Three. - An Evening Out. -As we were sitting at On The Border, for William's little brothers 19th birthday, while we the boys were talking about various electronics I noticed the Bamboo Ceiling. I whipped out the camera and tried to get shots of William and his brother interacting but didn't like the way those came out ; also took shots of the neat light fixtures they had sitting over the tables, again didn't like out it looked. So, I picked this one ; we were sitting in the over-crowded bar section and I loved the way the light fixture looked and snapped a photo. And although it could have come out better I am pretty pleased with it.

Day Twenty-Two. - Project 365.

Day Twenty-Two. - Non-Imaginative.- As I was sitting in my car on my last break of the day I was racking my brain trying to think of a picture for today. I wanted something I've never taken a photo of before, something outside of the normal, that didn't include something inside our apartment or food. And this is the result and I'm pretty disappointed with it. I really need new ideas if I'm going to keep up with this Project each day.
